ORDINANCE N0. 84-35 <br />Page -2- <br />379.02 RESPONSIBILITY OF PARENTS. <br />The parent or guardian of any minor shall not authorize or <br />permit such minor to violate any provision of this Chapter under <br />circumstances where the parent or guardian knew or should have <br />known of such violation. <br />379.03 TRAFFIC CODE APPLICATION. <br />Every person operating a motorized bicycle shall be granted <br />all of the rights and shall be subject to all of the duties <br />applicable to the driver of other motor vehicles by the laws of <br />this State, or by the traffic ordinances of Mayfield Village <br />applicable to the drivers of other motor vehicles, except <br />as to special regulations which, by their nature, can have no <br />application. <br />379.04 RESTRICTIONS ON OPERATION. <br />(a) A person operating a motorized bicycle shall not ride <br />other than upon the permanent and regular seat attached thereto <br />and meeting the specifications promulgated by the Ohio Director <br />of Highway Safety. <br />(b) No motorized bicycle shall be used to carry more <br />persons at one time than the number for which it is designed and <br />equipped. <br />(c) A person shall ride upon a motorized bicycle only <br />while sitting astride the seat facing forward with one leg <br />on each side of the motorized bicycle. <br />(d) No person operating a motorized bicycle shall carry <br />any package, bundle or article that prevents the driver from <br />keeping at least one hand upon the handle bars. <br />(e) No motorized bicycle shall be operated with any part <br />of the handle bar more than fifteen (15) inches above that <br />portion of the seat occupied by the operator when the seat is <br />fully depressed. <br />(f) No person riding upon any motorized bicycle shall <br />attach the same or himself to any vehicle upon a roadway. <br />(g) No operator of a motorized bicycle shall knowingly <br />permit any person riding upon a motorcycle, motorized bicycle, <br />bicycle, coaster, roller skates, sled or toy vehicle to attach <br />the same to himself or to any vehicle while it is moving upon <br />a roadway. <br />(h) Every person operating a motorized bicycle upon a <br />street or highway within Mayfield Village shall ride as <br />
