The amount of taxes in each year so levied pursuant to this Section shall be in addition to any taxes levied by Council pursuant to any other provision of this Charter or the general laws of the State of Ohio and no other provision of this Charter, or general laws of the State of Ohio, shall impair or limit this power. •The ballot question for the above proposed Charter Amendment shall be worded as follows: Shall Article IX, Section 2, of the Charter of Mayfield Village, Ohio, be amended so as to authorize the Council to levy in each year, beginning with 1984, a tax not to exceed in each such year three (3) mills per dollar of assessed valuation in order to conduct general municipal operations? YES NO Section 2. The question as to the proposed amendment of the Charter of Mayfield Village, Ohio, as set forth in Section 1 hereinabove, shall be submitted to a vote of the qualified electors of the municipality at the regularly scheduled general election to be held on November 6, 1984. Section 3. If the amendment as set forth hereinabove is approved by a majority of the electors voting thereon at such election, it shall become immediately effective from and of ter the time of its approval by the electors. Section 4. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and directed to certify a copy of this Ordinance to the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections for placement on the ballot for the regularly scheduled general election on November 6, 1984 and to take whatever other steps are necessary in order to comply with all directives of the said Board of Elections in order to secure placement on the ballot as of oresaid. Section 5. At least thirty (30) days before the date of the election as set forth in this Ordinance, the Clerk of Council is hereby directed to mail a copy of the full text of the proposed Charter Amendment to each elector of the municipality whose name appears upon the registration books for the last. regular election held in the City.
