~- A G R E E M E N T <br />• This Agreement made and entered into this day of , <br />by and between the Political Subdivision of thex Mayfield Village , <br />Ohio, by its Chief Executive Officer, duly authorized by Ordinance No. 84-38 , <br />passed by its Council on the 2.-4~.tfi day of August , 84 , <br />(hereinafter referred to as "Political Subdivision"),,and the County of Cuyahoga, <br />Ohio, duly authorized by a resolution adopted by its Board of County Commissioners <br />on the day of , , (hereinafter referred to <br />as "County"). <br />WITNESSETri <br />WHEREAS, the Housing and Community Development Acts of 1974, 1977 and 1980 as <br />amended, provides an entitlement of funds for Community Development purposes for <br />Urban Counties; and <br />- -°- <br />~_ <br />WHEREAS, Cuyahoga County may be designate3 as an Urban County provided that it <br />secures Cooperation Agreements with various Political Subdivisions in Cuyahoga <br />County; and <br />WHEREAS, the Chief Executive Officer and the Legislative Body of the Political <br />Subdivision of ~ Mayfield Village, Ohio desires the use of "Urban County <br />Entitlement Funds" for neeraed public improvements in Cuyahoga County and its <br />municipalities; and <br />WHEREAS, the County shall prepare Application for FY '85, '86 and•'87 Urban <br />County Entitlement Funds pursuant to the afor~nentioned Act for the FY '85, '86 <br />and '87 Program Years; and <br />• WHEREAS, no less than forty percent (40$) of the total Urban County Entitlement <br />Funds for Cuyahoga County will be expended by the Cuyahoga County Board of <br />Commissioners on behalf of the participating political subdivisions to finance <br />eligible Community Development activities, programs, and project in said par- <br />ticipating political subdivisions; and <br />NOW, TfiEREFURE, the Political Subdivision and the County do hereby promise and <br />agree: <br />• The County will on behalf of the Political Subdivisions execute essen"tial <br />Community Development and Housing Assistance applications, plans, and programs, and <br />projects eligible under the Housing and Community Development Acts of 1974, 1977 <br />and 1980 as amende3, and the County and local government agree to "Cooperate <br />
