ORDINANCE N0. 83-13 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Beebe & Council as a Whole AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE CITY OF CLEVELAND FOR WATER SERVICE AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: Section 1. The Mayor and Director of Finance are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the City of Cleveland for water services, which contract shall be in the form attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A" and which is incorporated herein as if fully rewritten. Section 2. All ordinances inconsistent with this ordinance in whole or in part are repealed to the extent necessary to avoid conflict with this ordinance. Section 3. That the Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements, including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. Section 4. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the reason that the contract authorized herein will provide an essential utility service for the residents of the municipality. :It shall therefore take effect immediately upon passage by the affirmative vote of not less than five (5) members elected to Council and approval by the Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time allowed by law. ? 4Tsao Council President First Reading: 6-20-83 Second Reading : Suspended Third Reading: Suspended , PASSED: -20-83 ?
