UNIFORM ALLOWANCE AND MAINTENANCE (a) Uniform items for Police Department employees shall conforri to the specifications required by the Department's Manual of Rules and Regulations, subject to the approval of the Chief of Police. All items purchased by the municipality shall be and rema.in the property of Mayfield Village, Ohio. (b) The municipality shall purchase for each newly employed full-time police officer having arrest powers all items listed on Schedule "A", attached hereto. Each newly employed full-time member of the Fire Department shall be reimbursed for the costs of uniforms purchased by that member for use in the member`s employment in an amount not exceeding the sum of Four Hundred Dollars ($400.00). Each newly employed full-time rnember of the Police Department not having arrest,powers shall be reimbursed for the costs of uniforms for use in that member's employment in an amount not exceeding the sum of Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00). There shall be no uniform allowance during the first year of employment for any of the above- mentioned employees. (c) Annually thereafter each full-time officer of the Police Department having arrest powers and all full-time members of the Fire Department shall receive a uniform allowance in the amount of Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) per year. Annually thereafter each full-time member of the Police Department not having arrest powers shall receive a uniform allowance in the amount of Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250.00). The amounts stated for uniform allowance herein may also be used for uniform maintenance by the employee. (d) Each newly appointed Auxiliary Police Officer shall receive an allowance in an amount not to exceed the sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) for the purchase of items necessary to equip such officer. The Chief of Police will issue a purchase order as required. The municipality shall purchase for each newly appointed Part-Time Police Officer all items listed on Schedule B attached hereto. In the event that such officer is ernployed as a full-time police officer for another municipality,or has previously served as a Mayfield Village Auxiliary Police Officer, and by reason thereof, has already had purchased for him any of the items appearing on Schedule B, and such items are fit for use in Mayfield Village, then the Village will not purchase such items for the officer and he shall not be entitled.to receive the cash eqU.ivalent of any such item. (e) The Finance Director is hereby authorized to reimburse all members of the Police and Fire Departments for expenditures made in accordance wi.th Sections 2(b), (c), and (d), provided, however, that, receipted bi11s evidencing the purchases are submitted
