ORDINANCE N0. 82-35 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor & Council as a Whole <br />AN ORDINANCE AWARDING A CONTRACT TO <br />CLARIDON CEPZTER GARAGE, INC. IN THE AMOUNT <br />OF FOURTEEN THOUSAND TtiJO HUNDRED NIrIETY ONE <br />DOLLARS ($14,291.00) AS LOWEST AND BEST <br />BIDDER FOR THE PURCHASE OF A ONE TON, <br />FOUR WHEEL DRIVE DUMP TRUCK, REJECTING ALL <br />OTHER BIDS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section l. In accordance with bids rece'ived pursuant to <br />advertisement as required by law, Claridon Center Garage, Inc., <br />is the lowest and best bidder for.a one ton, four wheel drive <br />dump truck. ' <br />Section 2. The Mayor ancl Finance Director are hereby <br />authorize , empowe.red and directed to enter into a contract with <br />Claridon Ceriter Garage, Inc. for the purchase of the aforementioned <br />vehicle in accordance with the bid rece'ived in an amount not to <br />excee3 Fourteen Thousand Two Hundred Ninety One Dollars ($14,291.00), <br />which price, according to the bid, includes the purchase of a <br />cab and chassi.s together with a dump body and equipment. Said <br />contract shall be in a form approved by the`Director of Law. <br />Section 3. All other bids rece'ived are hereby rejected. <br />Section 4. That the Council finds and determines that <br />all forma actions of this Council relating to the adoption of <br />this Ordinance, ha:ve be.eri taken at operi meetings of this Council; <br />and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, <br />resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open <br />to the public, in compliance with a11 statutory requirements, <br />including the requiremerits of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised <br />Code. <br />Section 5. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of <br />the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield <br />Village for the reason that the veh:icle purchased herein is <br />necessary to maintain esseritial governmerital services. It shall <br />therefore take effect immediately upon the affirmative vote of <br />at least five (5) members elected to Council and approval
