ORDINANCE N0. 82- 36 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor & Council as a Whole <br />AN ORDINANCE AZIARDING A CONTRACT TO LOVE <br />INSURANCE AGENCY IN THE AMOUNT OF SIXTEEN <br />THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY-ONE DOLLARS <br />($16,171.00) AS LOWEST AnTD BEST BIDDER <br />FOR FIRE, RESCUE, ERRORS AND OMISSIONS <br />INSURANCE REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY °THE C OUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section l. In accordance with bids received pursuant <br />to advertisement as required by law, Love Insurance Agency <br />is hereby declared to be the lowes.t and best bidder for fire, <br />rescue, errors and omissions insurance for the municipalityo <br />Section 2, The Mayor and Finance Director are hereby <br />authorize , empowered and directed to enter into a contract <br />with Love Insurance Agency for the insurance coverage mentioned <br />hereinabove in accordance with the bid received in an amount not <br />to exceed Sixteen Thousand One Hundred Seventy One Dollars <br />($16,171.00) per annumo Said contract sha11 be in a form approved <br />by the Director of Law. <br />Section 3. <br />Al1 other bids rece'ived are hereby rejected. <br />Section 4. That the Council finds and determines that <br />al1 forma actions of this Council relating to the adoption of <br />this Ordinance have been takeri at operi meetings of this Council; and <br />that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting <br />in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with a11 statutory requiremerits, including the requirements <br />of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />Section 5. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immedi.ately necessary for the preservation of <br />the health, saf.ety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village <br />in that the contract awarded here'in will protect Village assets <br />from damage claims. It shall therefore take effect immediately <br />upon the affirmative vote of at least five (5) members elected <br />to Council and approval by the Nlayor or otherwise at the earliest <br />time allowed by law.
