1"1-CSJ t': ? i <br />RESOLUTION N0. 82- 64 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor & Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE INCREASE <br />OF THE SPEED LIMIT ON BETA DRIVE FF.OM <br />25 MILFS PER HOUR TO 35 MILES PER HOUR <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Chief of Police of Mayfield Village has recommerided <br />that it is in the best interests of traffic safety and efficierit <br />traffic management to increase the ,speed limit on Beta Drive from <br />25 miles per hour to 35 miles per hour; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section l. The Mayor and Council of Mayf ield Village hereby <br />determine that it is in the best interests of traffic safety and good <br />traffic management to increase the speed limit on Beta Drive from <br />25 miles per hour to 35 miles per hour on its eritire length from <br />Wilson Mills Road to S.O.M. Center Road. <br />Section 2. The Chief of Police is hereby authorized and <br />directed to post signs on Beta Drive notifying motorists of the <br />change in speed limit. <br />Section 3. That the Council finds and determines that a11 <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees; resulting in <br />such formal action, took place in meetings operi to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirenien:ts, including the requirements <br />of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />Section 4. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the healtli, safety <br />and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village for the reason that <br />the action taken herein is neeessary to maintain effective traffic control <br />within the municipalitye It shall therefore take effect immediately upon <br />passage by the affirmative vote of not less than five (5) members elected <br />to Council and approval by the T'Iayor or otherwise at the earliest time <br />allowed by law. <br />First Reading:_ <br />Second Reading: <br />Third Reading:_ <br />PASSED: <br />APPROVED: <br />JULY 19, 1982 Michae Spellman, Council President <br />ert V.
