ORDINANCE N0. 82-79 (As Amended) INTRODUCED BY: Mayor & Council as a Who1e AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 521.06 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, PERTAINING TO REMOVAL OF SNOW AND DIRT FROM SIDEWALKS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have determined that it is in the best interests of traff ic and pedestrian safety within Mayf ield Village to assure, as best as possible, that sidewalks remain unobstructed to a11ow for the passage of pedestrian passage thereby avoiding pedestrians using the street; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have further determined that additional regulations are necessary in order to aid in the afore- mentioned goals; now, theref ore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CQUNCIL OF MAYF2EL VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: Section l. Section 521.06 of the Codified Ordinances of Mayfiel Village is hereby amended to read as f ollows: (Deleted material appears like th}s and new Tnaterial appears like TIiIS) 521.06 REMOVING SNQW AND DIR'P FROM SIDETqALY•.S. (a) Every owner, occupant or person in contr ol of any lot or premises abutting a sidewalk or any continuation of a sidewalk used f or sidewalk purposes on any street or highway in tlie Municipality shall keep such sidewalk or continv.ation free fr om snow, ice, slush, dirt, mud, and other substances at all times. However, no removal of snow sliall be required more than once in any one day, nor before 9:00 AaM, of the morning next following the fa11 of any snow. THE REQUIREMENTS CF THIS SECTIOTT PERTAINTPIC TO THE REMOVAL OF SNOW SHALL BE APPLICABLE ONLY WHEN THE SNOW OT? THE SIDEWALK QR ANY CONTINUATION OF A SIDEWAZK USED FOR SIDEWALK PURPOSES EXCEEDS TWO (2) IDICHES o (b). No person removing snow from any driveway or sidewalk or property shall deposit same on the'pavemerit or traveled portion or sidewa2k of any public streeto NO PERSOn SIIALL DFPOSTT APIY SNaW REMQVEn FROTT ANY DRIVE- WAY OR SIDEWALK OR 1'ROPERTY UPON ANY OTHER PROPERTY EXCEPT THAT FROM WHICH THE SNOW TS RIIMOVED. Section 2.
