ORDINANCE NO. 81-24 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Council as a Whole <br />AN ORDINANCE AWARDING A CONTRACT TO PUCEL ENTERPRISES, <br />INC., FOR STREET STRIPING, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to bids advertised for and received, <br />according to law, only one (1) bid was received for street striping <br />of designated streets in Mayfield Village, Ohio, which bid was in <br />conformance with the specifications. upon which it was advertised; <br />now, therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. Pucel Enterprises, Inc., is determined by <br />Council to be the lowest and best bidder for the striping of desig- <br />nated streets in Mayfield Village, Ohio, in accordance with the <br />advertisement for bids, and specifications provided in accordance <br />therewith, all pursuant to law, in an amount not to exceed Nine <br />Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty-five Dollars and Fifteen Cents ($9,955.15). <br />Section 2. The Mayor and Director of Finance are hereby <br />authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Pucel Enterprises, <br />Inc., for the striping of designated streets in Mayfield Village, <br />Ohio, in accordance with the aforesaid specifications in an amount <br />not to exceed the amount specified in Section 1. Said contract shall <br />be in accordance with the specifications upon which the bid was <br />received, shall be approved by the Director of Law and shall <br />furthermore state that the entire contract is to be performed <br />within forty-five (45) days after notice to the successful bidder of <br />its award of the contract. <br />Section 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, <br />in that the work to be performed in accordance with said contract will <br />help insure the orderly operation of motor vehicles and the movement <br />of pedestrians within the municipality. It shall therefore take <br />effect immediately upon passage by the affirmative vote of not less <br />than five (5) members elected to Council and approval by the Mayor <br />or otherwise at the earliest time allowed by law. <br />Alan G.
