M.V. ORDINANCE NO. 81- 44 <br />Page -2- <br />:~® <br />'"~ Section 5. The total assessment against each lot and parcel <br />of land shall be payable in cash to the Director of Finance of <br />the municipality within thirty (30) days after the passage of <br />this Ordinance, or, at the option of the property owner assessed, <br />in five (5) annual installments with interest at the same rate <br />as is borne by the notes issued in anticipation of the collection <br />thereof. All assessments and installments thereof which have <br />not been paid at the expiration of said thirty (30) day period <br />shall be certified by the Clerk of this Council to the office <br />of the Cuyahoga County Auditor to be placed by him on the tax <br />duplicate and collected at the same time and in the same manner <br />as other taxes are collected, as provided by law. <br />Section 6. The Clerk of this Council is hereby authorized, <br />empowered and directed to deliver a certified copy of this Ordinance.: <br />to the Cuyahoga County Auditor within twenty(20) days after its <br />passage. <br />Section 7. Council finds and determines that all formal <br />actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance <br />were taken at open meetings of this Council and that all deliberations <br />of this Council, and its committees, resulting in such formal <br />action, were in meetings open to the public, in compliance with <br />all legal requirements, including, but not limited to, Section <br />121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />Section 8. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of <br />the health, safety, and welfare of the residents of Mayfield <br />Village, Ohio, in that the assessments levied herein and the <br />forwarding of same to the County Auditor is necessary to pay <br />for the improvements constructed therein.
