ORDINANCE NO. 81-53 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor & Council as a Whole <br />AN ORDINANCE AWARDING A CONTRACT TO THE <br />REGENCIES CO. FOR REPAIR OF THE FIRE <br />DEPARTMENT ROOF, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. In accordance with bids received pursuant to <br />advertisement as required°by law, the Regencies Co. is hereby <br />declared to be the lowest and best bidder for repair work to <br />the Fire Department roof in accordance with the specifications <br />on file with the Clerk of Council, said contract price to be in <br />an amount not more than Fourteen Thousand Four Hundred Dollars <br />($14,400.00). <br />Section 2. The Mayor and Finance Director are hereby <br />authorized, empowered and directed to enter into a contract with <br />the Regencies Co., in a form to be approved by the Director of <br />Law, said contract to be performed in accordance with the <br />specifications upon which the bid was received and which shall <br />be in an amount not more than Fourteen Thousand Four Hundred Dollars <br />($14,400.00). <br />Section 3. That Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and <br />that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting <br />in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, <br />in compliance with all statutory requirements, including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />Section 4. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of <br />the health® safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, <br />Ohio, in that the contract work awarded herein.is necessary to <br />insure safe habitation within the Fire Department for both the <br />firefighters and the equipment stored therein. It shall therefore <br />take effect immediately upon passage by the affirmative vote of <br />not less than five (5) members elected to Council, and approval by <br />the Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time allowed by law. <br />PASSED: October 5, 1981 <br />APPROVED: <br />ert G.
