ORDINANCE N0. 81-56 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor & Council as a Whole <br />AN ORDINANCE <br />TRAFFIC CONT <br />INSTALLATION <br />INTERSECTION <br />AINTREE PARK <br />EMERGENCY. <br />AWARDING A CONTRACT TO <br />ROL PRODUCTS FOR THE <br />OF A TRAFFIC SIGNAL AT THE <br />OF S.O.M. CENTER ROAD AND <br />DRIVE AND DECLARING AN <br />Section 1. In accordance with bids received pursuant to <br />advertisement as required by law, Traffic Control Products is <br />hereby declared to be the lowest and best bidder for the <br />installation of a traffic signal at the intersection of S.O.M. <br />Center Road and Aintree Park Drive in Mayfield Village, Ohio. <br />Section 2. The Mayor and Finance Director are hereby <br />authorized, empowered and directed to enter into a contract with <br />Traffic Control Products for the installation of the aforesaid <br />traffic signal in an amount not to exceed Thirty One Thousand <br />Five Hundred Twenty qne Dollars and Four Cents ($31,521.04), which <br />contract shall be in a form approved by the Director of Law. <br />Section 3. Council finds and determines that all formal <br />actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance <br />have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting <br />in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, <br />in compliance with all statutory requirements, including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />Section 4. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of <br />the health, safety and welfare of the residents. of Mayfield Village, <br />Ohio, for the reason that the performance of the contract awarded <br />herein will help insure safe and effective traffic control within <br />the municipality. It shall therefore take effect immediately <br />upon passage by the affirmative vote of not less than five (5) members <br />elected to Council and approval by the Mayor or otherwise at the <br />earliest time allowed by law. <br />PASSED: 10/19/8~~~ <br />APPROVED : ~ ~t' <br />~j~ ~ 1 <br />ert~_.G.
