ORDINANCE NO. 80- G <br />BY: Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE <br />OF TWO (2) FOLICE CRUISERS. <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to bids advertised for and received, <br />according to law, only one (1) bid was received, which bid was <br />in conformance with the specifications upon which the bid was <br />received; now, therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. Deacon°s Chrysler-Plymouth is determined to <br />be the lowest and best bidder for two (2) police cruisers in ac- <br />cordance with the advertisements for bids, pursuant to law, in the <br />amount of Seven Thousand Seven Hundred Thirty-five Dollars ($7,735) <br />for each automobile. <br />Section 2. The Mayor and Director of Finance are hereby <br />authorized to enter into a contract vaith Deacon's Chrysler-Plymouth <br />for the purchase of two (2) police cruisers in the amount specified <br />hereinabove. Said contract shall be in accordance with the specifi- <br />cations upon which the bid was received and shall be approved by <br />the Director of Law. <br />Section 3. This is an emergency ordinance immediately <br />necessary for the preservation of the health, safety and welfare <br />of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio in that it will facilitate <br />and promote the continuation of effective law enforcement. It shall <br />therefore take effect immediately upon passage by the affirmative vote <br />of not less than five (5) members elected to Council and approval by <br />the Mayor, or otherwise at the earliest time allowed by law. <br />PASSED: 1/21/80 ,,,/'' <br />President o Council <br />d <br />APPROVED: <br />~,~, Robes~G.
