ORDINANCE NO. INTRODUCED BY: AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH PAUL K. GREER, FOR THE PURCHASE OF THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 6635 WILSON MILLS ROAD. WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 79-5, this Council declared its intent to acquire the real property located at 6635 Wilson Mills Road, Mayfield Village, Ohio, and further known as Cuyahoga County Permanent Parcel No. 831-15-16, and owned by Paul K. Greer; and WHEREAS, after negotiation, the said Paul K. Greer has agreed to sell the subject property to the Village for the sum of Sixty Thousand Dollars ($60,000.00); and, WHEREAS, the Council has determined that the sum of Sixty Thousand Dollars ($60,000.00) is a fair and equitable price for the purchase of the said real property; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: Section 1. The Mayor and Finance Director are authorized, empowered and directed to enter into a contract and consummate the purchase of property owned by Paul K. Greer, at 6635 Wilson Mills Road, Mayfield Village, Ohio, as is more fully described in Resolution No. 79-5, the same being a declaration of intention to acquire such property. Section 2. The purchase price shall be Sixty Thousand Dollars ($60,000.00) and the Village is authorized to pay all expenses normally incurred upon the transfer of property. Section 3. This is an emergency Ordinance necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village in that it will provide for the expansion of necessary municipal services. It shall therefore take effect immediately upon passage by the affirmative vote of not less than five (5) members elected to Council and approval by the Mayor, or otherwise at the earliest time allowed by law.
