HAYFIELD VILLAGE,-OHIO <br />6621 Wilson Mills.Road <br />PROCLAMATION <br />OF <br />APPRECIATION <br />TO <br />RED CROSS <br />WHEREAS, the American Red Cross serves mankind twenty-four hours a <br />day and three-hundred sixty-four days of the year; and <br />WHEREAS, the Organization assists all peoples in an emergency and <br />aids those in distress; and <br />WHEREAS, a Serviceman or a Veteran may turn to Service to Millitary <br />Families in time of need, either for counseling guidance or finan- <br />cial assistance; and <br />WHEREAS, the steadily rising cost of medical care causes the indi- <br />vidual to take~~courses in the Nursing and Health services; and <br />WHEREAS, Red Cross cares about the sick; the aged; athe handicapped; <br />and the retarded; - the quantity needs for volunteers is always a <br />necessity; and <br />WHEREAS, the donations of blood has reached 96/ of its goal; and <br />WHEREAS, Safety Services' purpose has been to conserve human life <br />and prevent serious injury through first aid, water safety, cardio <br />pulmonary resusita:tion (CPR) and small craft courses; and <br />WHEREAS, International Services continues to process foreigh in- <br />quiries sent to them by National Red Cross as well as those that <br />come by letter, plus the reunion or family cases. <br />WHEREAS, Red Cross Services should be commended and thanked for their <br />dedicated work: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council and Mayor of Mayfield <br />Village do hereby declare March, 1980 a Red Cross Month. <br />~ PASSED: March 10, 1980 <br />( ~ ~. - <br />~~~ ..~ _ ~ ~ ~~~fJ <br />.~ <br />R ERT BEEBE, MAYOR ELO SE MAYNARD, ERK OF COUNCIL <br />,~' _ , ~~~ <br />ALAN G.
