ORDINANCE NO. 80- 23 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Counci]_ as a whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE <br />79-81. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. Ordinance No. 79-81 enacting Chapter 971 <br />of the Codified Ordinances of Mayfield Village, Ohio, is hereby <br />amended to read as follows: <br />971.04 FEE REQUIRED. <br />(a) For each alarm connected to the Police or Fire <br />Alarm Console there shall be no charge during the <br />first year that such alarm is connected. Thereafter, <br />for each alarm connected to the Police or Fire Alarm <br />Console there shall be a charge of One Hundred Twenty <br />Dollars ($120.00) per year, payable semi-annually, <br />in advance. <br />(b) For purposes of this Section, each alarm connected <br />to both the Police and Fire Alarm Consoles shall be <br />considered a separate connection with a separate charge <br />for each such connection. <br />(c) Any person sixty-five (65) years of age or older <br />who has an alarm system connected to his residential <br />premises as contemplated in Section 971.03 shall be <br />entitled to a discount of ten (10) percent on the <br />annual charge as required in subsection (a) hereinabove <br />and on the initial permit fee as required by Section <br />971.10. This discount shall apply only to those <br />residential premises where the head of the household <br />is age sixty-five (65) or over. This discount is <br />non-transferrable. <br />971.10 PERMIT REQUIRED; FEE: A permit from the Building <br />Department shall be required before the installation <br />of any alarm covered by Section 971.03. Each permit <br />application shall be accompanied by a-:fee of Ten <br />Dollars ($10.00). For purposes of this Section, a <br />permit application for the installation of an alarm <br />system connected to both the Police Department and <br />Fire Department shall require only one permit fee <br />if both alarms are to be installed at the same time <br />thereby requiring only one inspection under.Section <br />971.03 (c) . <br />
