6 <br />r <br />ORDINANCE N0. ~~~ <br />BY MR.~ <br />AN ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE FOR,SPECIEiI, COUNSEL IN CONNECTION <br />j=1ITH THE ISSUANCE OF FIRE APPARATUS AND E~JUIPMENT, BONDS. <br />i -_ ~`, <br />-J <br />' WHEREAS, this Council has this day by Resolution determined it <br />necessary to issue bonds to.purchase fire apparatus and eo~uipment for the <br />Village of-Mayfield, and <br />Z,TIIEREA-S, in order to sell said bonds at the highest and best price, <br />it is necessary that this Village obtain and provide an approving opinion <br />regarding the validity of said bonds from attorneys acceptable to the <br />prospective purchasers of said bonds, and - <br />WfiSRF,AS, this Council is advised that the opinion of Messrs. Squire, <br />Sanders and Dempsey, Attorneys at Law, is acceptable to such prospective <br />purchasers; <br />- NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of <br />Mayfield, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, that: <br />- Section l: The law firm of Messrs. Squire Sanders and Dempsey <br />of Cleveland, Ohio, be and it hereby is retained as special counsel for the <br />Village in the matter of the e~amina.tion of the proceedings of this~Vil_lage <br />in connection with the issuance of X6,000.00 of bonds of the Village to be <br />issued for the purpose of purchase of fire apparatus and eouipment, said <br />special counsel also to furnish an approving opinion as to the legality <br />thereof . <br />Section .2: Said special counsel be compensated for their <br />services a.s such after the services are rendered upon ~-tatement submitted <br />by such special counsel and approved by this Council. <br />Section 3: This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />Emergency Ordinance necessary for the ,public health, safety, convenience <br />and welfare for reasons apparent from the content of said Ordinance and <br />therefore this Ordinance sha_l1 take effect and be in force from a.nd after <br />its passage. <br />1'i /{/oYBwr r3~R, <br />Passed the ;nth day of A,D. 19L,.7. <br />Attest: <br />~ -~~ Clerk <br />(SEAL) <br />Mayor - President of Council <br />
