ORDINANCE N0. 273 <br />BY MR. HEISS <br />AN ORDINANCE TO PR,OVIDI; FOR THE COLLECTION OF GARBAGE <br />>. <br />Z~FiEREAS, this Council heretofore authorized a.nd approved a contract <br />~,~.th'Ralph Quigley for a contract with this Village to furnish the necessary <br />labor,. materials and equipment to -orovid.e for• the collection of garbage from <br />the residences and places of 'ausiness located within the Village of Mayfield <br />and th.e transporta.ti.on.of such garbage out of the limits of the Village a:t a <br />cost of ~1~0.00 a month, to .be paid by the Village, and <br />WIiEREAS, such contract is cancelable upon action of either party, and <br />~S, Ralph Quigley 'cas notified this Council that by reason of <br />the fact that several new houses have been erected in the Village since he <br />entered. into the discharge of his duties under said contract that he no longer <br />is able to perform said. services for the sum of X40.00 a month e.nd has notified <br />this. Cour_cil of the termination of said contract as of September 15, 1947, and <br />~IHEREAS, said Ralph Quigley has offered to enter into: a. contract with <br />the Village to do the same work and perform the same services for the sum of <br />$E50.00 a month, and <br />~' WHEREAS, this Counci]_ deems it for the best interests of the Village <br />of Mayfield that slid. offer be accepted, <br />NOjd, THEREFORE, bE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF <br />HAYFIELD, CiJ.yA~I~Or.A. COUNTY, OHIO, That: <br />Section 1. T1_Ze offer of Ralph Quigley for a contract with this <br />Village to furnish the necessary labor, materials and equipment to provide <br />for the collection ox" garbage from the residences and places of business <br />located within tl~e Village of Mayfield and the transportation of such garbage <br />out of the lizuits of said Village for the sum of X50.00 a month' to be paid <br />to said Ralph Quigley by the Village of Mayfield, be, and the same hereby <br />iS accepted, and the proper officers of the Village be and they hereby are <br />authorized and directed to consummate the arrangements herein contemplated. <br />Section :~. The perfor~na.nce of Ralph Quigley of his obligations under <br />said contract shall Ue under the direction of and subject to the supervision <br />by the Mayor of the Va.llage. <br />Section 3. This contract. sha,J_l remain in full force and effect until <br />fl.~rt'rier action by this Council.. <br />Section ~.. Ordinance No.:217 heretofore passed by this Co~ancil be <br />and the same hereby is repealed and rendered null, void and of .no ef:Fect. <br />Section 5.
