Pd1AYFIELD, OHIO " WHEREAS, this Council is of the opinion that in the installatioh of public improvements undertaken in this Village the Engineer on.said improvements should be held responsible for said improvements by the . preparation of plans and specifications, the furnishing of estimates and the performance of the necessary engineering during the progress of the work, and that the Engineer should be held responsible for the faithful perforrnanco of all public improvements, Now, Tizorefore, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of Mayfield, State of Ohio; Seo•tion 1. That H. C. Gallimore be, and he is, hereby c-an.ployed and appointed as Engineer within and for the Village of Mayfield. ~_ Section 2. That he shall prepare all necessary plans, profiles, specifications and estimates of cost of every kind for all public improve- ment s , Section 3. That he be held responsible to this Council for the faithful execsution of all public work undertaken by this Council, pursuant to plans and specifications approved by this Council. Section 4. That all inspectors, appoi~ed by the Road Cos~nittee of this Council shall be under his direction and supervision and shall report 'to and r®ceive their instructions from him. Section 5. That he will furnish to this Council plans, specifi- "cations ax~l estimates of cost of all necessary improvements for the guidance of this Council and for the information and guidance of contractors. Section 6. That when requested, he shall make and deliver to this Council, monthly reports of the progress of improvements under his charges stating conditions of same together ;rra.th az~y other matters of interest desired by this Council. All plans shall be the property of the Village and when so directed by the Council he filed in the Clerkts oft~c®, upon completion of ax~y street improvement. Section 7, That his services sha11 be at the call of any Department of this Village, or of any Official acting in his official capacity. `~ Section 8. That for such services in connection ~rr~th construction of public amprovements.he shall receive compensation equal to six per centage (6/) of the actual cost of construction of all improvements made by this Council and under his control, said sum to be paid at the time the contrac- torts estimates, upon which his payment is based, are presented to this Council.
