<br />ORDINANCE N0. 306 <br />By Mr. Sloan <br />AN ORDINANCE TO PiTRCHASE A POLICE-AUTOMOBILE <br />WHEREAS, due advertisement has boon published in accordance with <br />law, inviting bids, for a contract for the sale of a Police Automobile <br />b~r.~ the Village of Mayfield, Ohio; and <br />WHEREAS, on the 18th day of December, 1948, Stratton Motors, <br />Inc. filed its bid with the Clerk, offering to sell to the Village one <br />1949 Mercury Two Door Sedan .Automobile, equipped for police use, for the <br />sum of X2498.27; .and <br />WHEREAS, said bid is the lowest and best bid received therefor. <br />NOtiN' TH}~EFORE : BE IT OEDAZiNED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF <br />MAYFIr~LD, CUYAHOGA_COUNTY,:QHIO, T4~0-THIRDS OF ALL,MEMBERS ELECTED THERETO <br />COPdCURRING, THAT; _ ... _ _ <br />Seo. 1. The bid of Stratton Motors, Inc. filed with the Clerk <br />ender date~ecember 18th, 1948, offering to_soll to this Village one <br />1949 Mercury Two Aoor-Sedan Automobile, equipped for police use, for the <br />sum of ~p2498.27, be' and the same hereby is, accepted. <br />Sec. 2• The proper offieera of the Village are hereby authorized <br />and instructed to do all things necessary to consummate the purohase of <br />said automobile and to carry out the provisions of this ordinance. <br />Sec. 3. The sum of X2498.27 is hereby transferred from the <br />General Fund~of the Village to the Safety Fund and is appropriated for <br />the purpose of purchas~.ng said automobile. <br />Sec. 4. This ordinance is deemed to be an emergency measure, <br />necessa ry for the preservation of the health, safety and welfare of <br />the Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants, in order to provide necessary <br />police protection, and shall go into effect immediately upon its passage. <br />Passed this 20th day of December, 1948. <br />Mayo - esident of ouncil <br />Attest= <br />-~~ <br />Sa V Clerk <br />
