<br />BEECH HILT, ROAD.
<br />'V`dIiEREAS, the Co~.lnty of Cuyahoga, State of Ohio, has constructed and is
<br />operating a sewage disposal plant on the east side of Beech Hi11 Road in the
<br />Village of I~Iayfie ld, Ohio, azxl. -
<br />V+JHEIIEAS, under the terms of an Agreement in writing, made in the year
<br />1928 by and between the Commissioners of Cuyahoga County, Ohio and the-Village
<br />of A~Iayfield, ~:t. ass provided that the Village of T,Iayfield shall pay to the
<br />County of Cuyahoga on the first day of April each year'the sum of y~2.50 for
<br />each. sewer connection betvreen any house or other building, and any sewers
<br />connected vrith or leading to the said County Sewage Disposal Plant, az~cl
<br />V~1HEP~EAS, rho Village of L~~Iayfie 1d sustains certain other expense in
<br />connection with the mainvenance e.nd operation of said servers, and
<br />`1IiEREAS, the Council of the Village of I'~fayfie ld declares it necessary
<br />to levy and collect a charge or rental upon premises served by server connec-
<br />. tioris vaa.th said County Setivage Disposal Plant, so that the Village will not
<br />-- be compelled to bear all of the expense .involved in said Agreement with. the
<br />County of Cuyahoga.
<br />NOti+I, THvREFORE, be it ordained by the Council of the Village of T.Qayfield,
<br />County of Cuyahoga, State of Ohio, that:
<br />SECTION 1.. In order to pay part of the cost and expense oz" maintaining
<br />and operating the sewer connections with the County Sewage Disposal Plant, there
<br />is hereby levied upon each lot and premises on v~hich is located any house or
<br />building which has installed therein or thereon any sevver connection for the
<br />discharge of sewage into sewers connected with or leading~to the County Sewage
<br />Disposal Plant on 'the east side of Beech Bill Road in the Village of I~Rayfield,
<br />a charge or rental of v?2.75 per year, beginxzing with the year 1949. _ The
<br />amount to be charged z"or the year 1949 sh.a11 be paid on or before the first
<br />day of inlay, 1949, but in each year hereafter said charge shall b© paid on or
<br />before the first day of 11~larch for each such sevver tonne ction vdhi ch is in
<br />existence on the preceding first day of Pebruar;,T.
<br />SECTTOl`d ~. The term "sewa.ge" is hereby defined as the i~raste of water
<br />closets, urinals, lavato.i~s' , sinks, bath tubs, setRers, household laundries,
<br />cellar floor, ,drains, ~~..a~~., floor drains, bars, soda fountains, cuspidors,
<br />refrigerator drips, drinking fountains, stable floor drains, aryl any other
<br />-- waste matter tivhich is commonly known as sanitary sev,rage.
