Hardman • <br />AN ORDINANCE TO PURCHASE A POLICE AUTOMOBILE <br />TNHEREAS, due advertisement has beer, published aocording to law, <br />inv3.ting bids_ for tho sal© of a new poli ce automobile to the Village of <br />Mayfield Ohioe and <br />VITI~REAS, Euclid Ford Company duly filed its bid wi•~h the Clerk, <br />in aceordanc® with lair, offering to sell to the Village a 1950 Ford Black <br />Tudor Police Cruiser, equipped in the maxxner hers_ inafter described az~d <br />for the sum of ~1875r00; and <br />Ti~REAS, said bid is the lo~rest and best submitted. <br />NO6~1 THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY TIC COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD, <br />CUYAHOGA COUNTX OHIO: ,THAT , <br />Sec, 1, `The bad of Euolid Ford Company, duly filed tivith the <br />Clerk, offering to sell to the Vil].age.,of Mayfield a 1950 Ford Black <br />Tudor Special Police Cruiser, oquipped ~,~tli 255 cubic inch _police motor, <br />special carburetor, booster fuel p~unp, heavy duty clutch and trai~smission, <br />h®avy duty front az~d rear shock absorbers, heavy-~Yduty front ar,d rear springs, <br />special police roar end, hot water heater and defroster, and non-sag front <br />seat spring cushion with foam rubber pad, for the sum of X1875,00, be and <br />the same is hereby accepted. • <br />Sec.. 2r Th® proper officers of the Village are hereby autlzori~ed <br />and instructed to do, all things necessary to consummate the purchase of <br />said automobile and to carry out the provisions of this ordinance, <br />Sec, 3, This Ordinance is deemed to be an emergeney_measure, <br />necessary for -the -immediate protection of the safely, health and welfare <br />of the Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants, in order to insure better <br />police protection through better and safer equipment, and the said <br />Ordinance shall go into effect immediately upon the date of its passage. <br />Passed this 20th day of February, 1950r <br />Ma or -President of Council <br />Attest: <br />sI;AL clerk¢ <br />
