OF SPECIAL. :, <br />POLICEfl~AN. _ - ~ - <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY TEE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF Il~YF1-ELD, GOUNTY OF <br />CUYAHOGA.AND STATE. OF OHIO,__THATa, _~ - _ _ <br />See. 1. Section 3 of Ordinance Noy 3259 entitled " An <br />Ordinaa~ce ~o Amend Ordinances Nos. 254 and 299 and to provide for <br />the office of Special Policeman" is hereby amended to read, as follov~as: <br />"See. 3. Each Special Policeman shall~be paid out of the <br />Village Treasury the_sum of X1.00 fvr each hour or fraction <br />theroof during which he sereas-as such on the call of the <br />AZayor or Chief of Police. A Special Policeman shall serve <br />only at such times and during such hours as shall be assigned <br />to him by either the ~[ayor or the Chief of Police, The amount <br />of compensation of any Special Policeman may b® changed from <br />tame to time by resolution9 ordinance, or motion passed by <br />the Councils Special arrangements may be made' by the Council <br />whereby a Special Policeman shall not be paid for any police <br />ser~ri.ce performed in cox~,nection with the operation of his <br />own business, and the present such arrangement with Howard <br />Schulz is hereby continued." <br />Sec. 2. E~.sti33g Section 3 of Ordinance No. 325 is hereby <br />repealed from and after the date of this _ordina,nee, <br />Sec. 3. This OrdinaACe is doclared to be an emergency measure, <br />necessary. for th® immediate protection of the safety of the inhabitants <br />of the Village of I~Iayfield, in order to make it possible to obtain Special <br />Policemen from time to time with the limited funds available for that <br />purposo, and this Ordinaneo shall take effect and be in force frara <br />and after the date-of its passage. <br />Passed this 17th day of April, 1950• <br />Attest: <br />~- <br />-~ ~?. <br />yor -- esident of Council <br />SEAL Clerk <br />
