Paragraph TTo. (14) of Section, 1 of Ordinatace. No. 258, <br />entitled Ordinance Adopting Rules and Regulations Relative to th® <br />Platting of Land and the Dedication of New ,Streets to be Shrnvn oX~ such <br />Plat", is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />" (ld). Before approval vri11 be given upon, any plat <br />dedicating_ streets to public use, except as hereixtaf'tor provided, <br />the. said streets sha11 have been graded to a grade approved by <br />the Village Engineer, curbing and paving shall have been <br />constructed in accordance with plans axed specifications and to <br />a width approved by the Council and Village Engineer; also <br />where water mains and setiger outlets are available to the property, <br />local water and sewer mains shall also be installed in the <br />sheets of the. proposed subdivision, in accordance with. plans <br />and speei:Pi cations approved by the Council and Village Engineer. <br />All pleas for sidewalks (where. installed), curbing, paving, <br />water mains and sewers, shall be made on tracing cloth and to <br />a scale of 1" equals 50 feet horizontal and 1'°~ equals 5 feet <br />vertical. D~p].icate plans on tracing cloth shall be furnished <br />the ~Couneil. If, hovJever, water ma~.ns and sewer outlet <br />facilities are.not~available to the property, the plat grill <br />not be approved unless some other v~rater supply mains end sewage <br />outlet mains, meeting with the approval of the Council and the <br />Public Health Authorities, exe provided for each of the lots <br />of the subdivision. <br />"Sidewalks (where provided)~and curbing may be of sandstone <br />or` coY~crete. The minimum requiremont for paving shall be a water-- <br />bound macadam base of 5" with a tar bound macadam surface of 3" <br />using 2-1~4 gallons of tar per square yard. The aggregate used <br />in both base and surface shall be either limestone or slag of <br />appropriate sizes. <br />"Any of said improvements, ha~trover, need not be installed <br />if the Council finds by a 3~4 vote of its members that, due to <br />special circumstances, conditions or other reasons, the same <br />may be omitted without jeopardizing the public safety and interests <br />
