ORDPITANCE No. 1x.7.2 <br />BzJr Mrs. CaSS <br />AN O.RD7NANCE 11^0 AMEND SECTION 3 OF ORDINANCE No. 231 <br />AS AMENDID BY, 71VCREASING RATES OF PAY .OF VOLUNTARY FIREMEN <br />BE 7'i' ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF MAYF~, CUYAHOGrq COUNTY, <br />OHIO, THAT: <br />Sec® 1. Section 3 of Ordinance No. 231 entitled: 'tAn Ordinance <br />Establishing and Creating a Volunteer Fire Department for the Village of <br />Mayfield", as amended by Ordinances Nos. 292 and 302, is hereby amended <br />to read as follows: <br />"Sec. 3. The Fire Department is authorised to act and to <br />use the f~ ire apparatus of .the Village in times of emergency to <br />safeguard life, limb, property and the public safety and health. <br />The Chief of the Village Fire Department shall be paid the slim. of <br />X5.00 and each of the other members of the Village Fire Department <br />shall be paid the sum of X3;00 for each fire or emergency call up <br />to the first hour thereof. The Chief of the Fire Department and <br />each volunteer fireman sha7l,b e paid the sum of X1.00 for each <br />additional hour or major portion thereof spent in answering such <br />fire or emergency call. Afire call. or emergency ca]1 sha]1 be deemed <br />to begin when the fire equipment leaves its regular s~~ation.and to <br />and when it has been returned to its regular stop.' <br />Sec. 2. Existing,;Section 3 hitherto appearing in said Ordinances <br />Nos. 231,and 302 are hereby repealed as of this date. <br />Sec. 3. This Ordinance is deemed to be an emergency measure, <br />necessary far the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare of <br />the Vi1la,ge of lUtayfield and its inhabitants in order to bring rates of pay <br />i.n line with those paid in neighboring villages, and this Ordinance shall <br />go into effect immediately upon the date of its passage. <br />Passed this 21st day of July, 1952. <br />(~Miayor - resident of ounci <br />Attest: <br />~~~ ~~ J :~ <br />Seal erk <br />
