ORDINANCE No. i~.1.7 <br />By Dr.~ Waltz <br />AN ORDINANCE TO PURCHASE A SERVICE.TRUCI~ FROM <br />T_HE FOREST CITY MOTOR CAR COP,dPANY <br />T1~HER:EAS, due advertisement has been published according to law, <br />inviting bids, for the sale.. of a new service truck to the Village of Mayfield, <br />Ohio, and for the purchase of the service truck now used by the Village; and <br />WHEREAS, the Forest City N±otor Car Coo duly filed its bid with <br />the Clerk,. in accordance with law, offering to sell to the Village a new <br />1953 Dodge 2-1/2 ton truck, plus chassis and cab, of the type hereinafter <br />described, for the gross sum of ~1~,159.51~, and offering to purchase the <br />present service truclc owned by the Village and to give an allowance of <br />a~~.59.51~ therefor; and <br />i°T1iEREAS, said combination bid of the Forest City Motor Car Co. is <br />the lowest and best bid submitted. <br />Id0'JV THEREFOP~ BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OP <br />MAYFI}~LD, CUYAHOGA COUNTY OHIO, THAT: <br />Sec® lm The bid of The Forest City Motor Car COyoffering to sell <br />to the Village of Mayfield one netiv 1953 model Dodge 2-1/2 ton truck, 19000 <br />lbs. gross vehicle weight, plus chassis and cab, and dump body vuith chute <br />and half cab protector, more fully described in its Bid No. 1 dated <br />October 18th, 1952, filed with the Village Clerk, for the su_m of ~~.159.5~-, <br />and offering to purchase from the Village its present 1911 international <br />Dump Truck for the sum of ~~~.59.51~, leaving a cash balance of ~~3700.00 to <br />be paid to the Forest City. Motor Car Company, be, aazd the same hereby is, <br />accepted. <br />Sec. 2. The Mayor and Clerk are authorized and empowered to <br />execute a~l.such documents and do all things necessary to carry out the <br />provisions of this ordinance. <br />Sec. 3. Said sum of ~~3700.00 is hereby appropriated from the <br />Equipment,~u' ding Construction and Maintenance Fund of the Village. <br />Sec. I~. This ordinance is deemed to be an emergency measure, <br />necessary for the immediate protection of the public peace, safety, health <br />and vrelfare in order that the Village may be properly equipped to clear <br />its streets, collect rubbish, repair its roads and protect against snotiv <br />storms, and said Ordinance sizall go into effect immediately upon the <br />date of its passage. <br />Passed this ~tl~ day of November, 1952. <br />Attest: <br />~~ ~~ <br />' ~_~~: / / P~_a,yor~President of Council <br />Sea C er <br />
