ORDINANCE No. l~31 By Mr. Scheurin~, AN ORDINANCE CONSENTING TO THE MAIIJTENANGE AND RII'ALR OF CERTAIN STR~~S AND ROADS BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COT~IlISSIONERS OF C~[TYAHOGA COUNTY OHIO. WHF;REAS, the Board of County Commissioners has ten-Latively approved a Maintenance_and Repair Program for the year 1959 and V~lHEREAS, a number of the roads to be maintained and repaired are Village Streets and also County Roads known by the following names and lying between the limits designated, viz: ROAD FROM TO Highland Wilson Mills Viflzite Lander S.O.M. Center Road W. Line Mayfield Village Lander Road E® Line Mayfield Vi_11age S.O.M. Center Road 'VU. Line Mayfield Village S. Line Mayfield Village Wilson I~.~ills Road WHEREAS, the maintenance and repair is to include the following operations: 1. Repairing roadway berms. 2. Cleaning and repairing culverts and drainage systems. 3. Cleaning, repairing and treatment of road surfaceQ ?~. Mowing weeds on berms. 5. Repairing and installing guard rail, 6. Installing and repairing road signs and warning signs. 7• Painting center lines and marking R.R. crossings. NO'~T, THEREFORE, Be it Ordained by the Council of the Village of Mayfield, State of Ohio: , Sec. 1. That it is declared to b e of public interest that the consent o~illage by and such consent is hereby given to the maintenance and repair on the above mentioned highT~vays between the termini aforesaid, by the Board of County Commissioners. Sec. 20 This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency ordinance necessary for the immediate preservation of the public health and safety; such necessity exists by reason of the fact that freezing and tha-vring action has created hazardous conditions on these roads, in consequence whereof great public inconvenience would be suffered and public travel endangered and delayed, and said ordinance shall tape effect at the earliest time as provided by lawn
