Sec® lo- The Mayor and Clerlt are hereby authorized on behalf of the Village o~3ay~ield to enter into an agreement in writing with the City of University Heights Ohio for the use of the radio broadcasting fac:i.lities of Station KA~.931~ in connection with the motor vehicles operated by the Po]a.ce Department _of the Village of Mayfield for a period of two years commencing June 1st, 1953, and ending ~Y 31st, 1955, unless said agreement is sooner terminated by either party upon 60 days written notice of such intention. Such agreement is to provide that the City of University Heights will broadcas~b calls and messages on Station Kl~i 93~. when and as requested by the Vi7.],.age of Mayfield, and that the Vi1l.age of Drla,yfield shall pay therefore at the rate of x].5.00 per month, or any part of arty month for one- way ser~ri.ce only, and for all other service at the rate of $20.00 per month for 50 calls or less a month, or any part of a month,.~25.00 per month for 51 to 200 calls a month or any part of arty month., X30.00 per month for 201 to 300 calls a month or any part of ar~y month, and $$35.00 per month for over 301 calls a month or arty part of air month, plus arty additional expenses incurred by the City of University Heights for toll ca]1s, long distance telephone calls, telegrams, or charges for excess calls in connection with such service. Sec. 2. There is hereby appropriated from the General Fund of the Village ~`reasury the stun of ~35e00 per month, plus such other amounts as may be necessary during the term of said contract to pay certain services to b e rendered thereunder.. Sec. 3. The Mayor and Clerk are authorized to take such steps as may be necessary to the execution of-said contract. SEC. ~:. This Ordinance is deemed to be an emergency measure, necessary. or the immediate preservation of the safety, health and welfare of the Village-of Mayfield and its inhabitants in order to secure better police protection, and this ordinance sha]1 go into immediate effect upon the date of its passage.
