<br />An Ordinance providing for the issuance
<br />of bonds of the Vi11age of TYia,ytield, Ohio, foi
<br />the purpose of erecting or purchasing tivorks for
<br />tho generation o.nd transmission of electrici-ty
<br />and for supplying electricity to "uhe corporation
<br />and the inhabitan-ts thereof, and repealir_g Ordinance
<br />ivo. 35, passed November Ilth, 1922,and declaring an
<br />emergency.
<br />MiEREEAS, at ageneral eloction held in "uhe Vil.lage of Mayiie?d,
<br />Ohio, on the 7th day of iVovember., 1922, -L-he question of issuing
<br />boncis of said villa.ge in a.n ari:ovnt in excess o:.? one-half of one per
<br />cent oi the total value of all property in such viilage as listed
<br />or assessod for taxa-tion, thal" is,. in -the sum of 912,000.00, foi• the
<br />purpose of erea-ting or ptu-chrzsing vrorks for -Ghe genera-L-ioii aaid
<br />traaisn,ission of electrx.ci.t,y snd fo'r the purpose of_ supplying
<br />Q1eatricity to the corporat-ion and the inhabitants thereof, was sub-
<br />mitted to a vo-te of the qualified electors of such village; and
<br />YGERE.43, ti;ro-thirds of the voters voting at such election
<br />upon t11e question of issuing sv.id bonds voted in fa.vox thereof; and

<br />'FUFiEREnS; this Council has requested the Clerk to issue
<br />his certificate as to the estimated lifo of the prop erty or improve-
<br />ment proposed to be acquired or construc•ted from the proceeds of the
<br />bonds hereinafter raferred to, and the Clerlr has certified to this
<br />Council such estimated 1ife a.s Fif'teen ,years, and nas further ce-rti-
<br />fied the maximtiun maturity of such bonds as f ii'teen years; and
<br />UHER EA5, this Council estiniates -that a tax for said boncls
<br />will appear upon the duplica.te ior the ,year 1923, and that -the final
<br />tax settlement with the Cownty Treastarer next follotiving the ir_clusion
<br />of a tax for this issue in the annual budge'u by the County fi-udi-'tor,
<br />as provided by 1ais, tivill be obtair_ed not earlior than the first day -

<br />BE IT ORDAINLD b;l the Council of thE Village of Ma,yfie1d,
<br />State of Qhio, two-thirds of alI members elected thereto concurring:
<br />SEC!'IOid 1. That it.is deemed necessary to issue the bonds
<br />of the Vil7.age of iU?ayi'iold, Cu,yahoga Count,-y, Ohio, in the principal
<br />sum of Twelve Thousand Dollars ($12,000.00) in ord:er to provide a
<br />. #'und for the purnose of erecting or purchasing works ior the genera-
<br />tion and transmission oi electricity and ior supplying electricity to
<br />this corporation and the inhabi•Eants thereof.
<br />SECTIOAT 2. That- bonds of -che Village of ???iaytield, Ohio;
<br />sha11 be issued in the principal sum of 5?12,000o00 for the purpose
<br />aforesEid. Said bonds shall be mu:lberod frorn onQ to twelve, Uo-L-h
