Said tngineer furtlier agrees; To furnish sufficient '. <br />sets oi blue prints'of all plans, specificatians and ? <br />working drawings for construction a nd record purposes, <br />to correct such plans to conform to actual conditions <br />after the completion of the work, and to furnish copies <br />of all corrected plans to be placed on file in the vil- <br />la.ge ha11 of said PtIunicipality, said plans to be the pro- <br />perty of the htunicipalit,y. <br />In consideration of the faithful,perform.a.nce by said <br />Engineer of the several things by it to be performed, in <br />accordance with the foregoing agreement, and as compensa- <br />tion therefore, said IJunicipality agrees to pay said <br />Engineer a sum equivalent to four per cent (Vo) of the <br />total cost of a•11 construction work, which may be authoriz- <br />ed by said Ilfunicipality. It is further agreed that the;Engineer shall employ <br />such inspec-tors as may be necessary for the proper inspec- <br />tion of any work. The inspectors so employed shall be sub- <br />ject to the approval of the Council of said ]4lunicipality <br />and their salaries shall be fixed by said Council. Such <br />inspectors shall report to and receive their instructions <br />from the Engineer and the Municipality a.grees to pay to <br />said inspectors, on vouche•rs.approved by.tlie Engineer, the <br />salaries,previously.fixed by.,the.Council,.of slid Mu.nicipality. <br />- ? <br />.`I?he compensation herein provided for shall be payable - <br />as,follows: ` <br /> <br />Two per cent (2%) to be paid when drawings and specifi- <br />cations for the.work have been approved by tY?e Municipality <br />and the bid for such work-&ccepted. <br />-TFVO per cent (2J) to be paid on each estimate issued to <br />the contractor, except the final estimrzte, for which the <br />amount shall be determined as follows; <br />From four per cent (4%),of the total amount due or pay- <br />ed to the contractor, there sha11 be deducted ali previous <br />payments ma.de to the 2iigineer. `iL-te balance; or that portion <br />of the.four per cent (4%) remaining after all f'ormer pay- <br />ments to the. Engineer have been deducted tvill be paid to the <br />Engineer after the final estimate to the contractor has been <br />approved by the Gouncil. , <br />In no event shall the total amount paid to the Engineer <br />on any contraet exceed four per cent (4%) of the total con- <br />tract cost. <br />It is further agreed that the compensation to said <br />Engirieer for making special or preliminary surveys, reiDorts <br />and investigations, or other services not incident to the <br />con.struction of Village improvements shall be upon a basis <br />approved by the council from time to time.
