ORDINANNCE Noo 152 By Mr. Voorhees PROVIDI1dG FOR THE IIMPLOYMENT OF AN EPIGINEER FOR TIiE VILLAGE OF PlIAYFTEItDe WHER.EkSD thzs Council is of the opinion that in the instaLZation of publ.ic ingrovements und.ertaken in this Vil.lage the Rngineer on said improvements should be held responsible for said improvements by the prepasation of pla.ns and specifications9 the f'urnishing of estimates and the performance of the neeessary engineering during the pragress of the vaork, and that the Engineer should be held responsible for the faithful performance of all public improvements9 now9 therefore' BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of lUla.yfield, Sta.te of Ohio: Section l. That F. A. Pease be anci he is hereby employed and appointed as Engineer w-ithin .and for the Village of MayfieId for a perior3 ending December 3I, 1935a Section 2. That he shall prepare =aII necessary plans9 profiles, specifications and estimates of cost of every ]tind necessary for aI.I_ street improvements. Section 3. That he be held resgonsible to this Council for the faithful execution of a71 work undertaken by this Couneil, pursuant to approved plans9 specification, etco Section 4. That a31 inspectors agpointed by the Roarl Commi.ttee of this Council shall be under his direct supervision and shall report to and receive their instructions from him. Section 5. That he will furnish to this Council frontage maps and specifications of all necessar,y improvements9 for the ga.idance of tlv.s Council and for the information and guidance of contractorsm Section 6. That he vvill make and deliver to this Council monthly regorts of the grogress of imgrovements under his charge, stating condition of sams, together with an,y othex° matters of interest riesired by this Councilo Section 7. That hi:s services sha1l be at the call of any Depaxtment of this VilZage, or any official acting in his official capacity. Section 8. That fox such services in connection -with construction of public improvements he shall receive a sum equal to foux per cent (4f) of the total actual cost of all improvements ma.de by this Couneil and under his control, Said sum.tG be paid at the same time as the estimates upon which such compensation is baseda Compensation equal to one and one ha.7f per cent (1-21%) of the total estimateti cost shaLt be gaid for aIlpTans,, profiles and specifications upon -work authorzzed and approved by this Council, should the proceedings for said work, for any cause9 be discon-tinued, a,nd the improvement not constructeclm The compensation for making speci.al surveys, regorts and investigations, or for other services not incident to or connected -with ths construction of Villags improvements, shalZ be u.gon a basis approved by this Council..
