ORDINANCE No. 153. <br />BY N1R. CORLETT. <br />AN ORDINAIJCE APPROPRSATING FIVE HUNDRED <br />I30LLARS FOR THE IMPROVE11IENT OF THE ROADS <br />AVD HIGHgbYS TN MFiYF'IELi3 VILLAGE. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of Majrfield, <br />Cuyahoga County, Ohio, that:- <br />Section I. There hsreby is appropriated the sum of Five <br />Hundrad Dollars ($500.00) from the gasolirie tax funds in the Village treasury <br />to provide the necessary labor and materials for thz improvement of the roads <br />and highwaps within the Iimits of the Village of Mayfield. <br />Section 2. It is hereby determined that only such persons <br />as are in financiaZ distress and are in need of financial relief shall be employ- <br />ed in the improvement of the roads a.foresaid as provided for in this ordinance. <br />The said improvement shalZ be under the supervision and direction of the Street <br />Commissioner of Mayfield Village and said Street-Comrni.ssioner is hereby directEd <br />to employ such needy persons upon the following basis:- <br />Single men shaZl be employed hereunder not to exceed six (6) <br />hours per vPeek. <br />Married men} or persons with one depend.ent shall be employed <br />not to exceed twelve (12) hou.rs per vveek. <br />Fersons with two or more dependents sha.71 be employed not <br />to exceed eighteen (18) hours psr week. <br />Seetion 3. Persons employed on said improvement hereund.er <br />shall be paid at the rate of fifty cents (500) ger houre <br />Section 4. `I'his ordinance is hereby declared to be an Emer- <br />gency Ordina.nce, neeessary for the immediate preservation of the public heaZth, <br />safety and convenience for reasons apparent f'z°om the contents of said Ordinance. <br />Passed the 19th day of- February9 A.
