CORLE;/ <br />AN ORDITd1:NCE PROVIDING FOii. 1HE EMPLOYMENT <br />OF AU ENGINEER FOR THE VILLtiGE OF 14IAYr IELD <br />WHEREAS, this Council is of the opinion that in the installation of <br />public improvements undertaken in this Villa.ge the Engineer on sa,id irnprovements <br />should be held responsible for said improvements by the prepo.ration of plans and <br />specifications, the furnishing of estimates and the performance of the necessarJ <br />engineering during t.he progress of the'work, and that the engineer should be held <br />resporisible for the faithful performance of all public impr.ovements; <br />NOW, THEREFOHE, BE IT ORDAIIJED by the Council of the Village of Ma3Tfield, <br />State of Ohio: <br />Section l. That F. A. Pease be and he is hereby employed and appointed <br />as engineer within a.nd for the Village of P,1Iayfield. <br />Section 2. That he shall prepare all necessary plans, profiles, speci- <br />fications and estimates of cost of every kind necessary for all street improvements. <br />Section 3. That he be held responsible to this Council for the faithiul <br />execution of all work undertaken by this Council, pursuant to approved plans and <br />specifications. <br />Section 4. That a.ll inspectors appointed by the Road Committee of this <br />Council shall be-under his direct supervision and shall report to and receive <br />their instructions from him. <br />Section 5. That he tivill fuxnish to this Council frontage maps and <br />specifications of all necessary improveraents, ior the guidance of this Council <br />and for the informa.tion and guidance of contractors. <br />Section 6. That he will make and deliver to this Council monthly re- <br />ports of the progress of improvements under his churge, stating condition oi same, <br />together with any other matters of interest desired by this Council. kll plans <br />shall be filed in Clerk's office upon completion of any street improvement. <br />Section 7. That his services shall be at the cali of any department <br />of this Village, or any ofiicial acting in his official capacity. <br />Section 8. That for such services in connection with construction of <br />public improvements he shall receive a sum equal to z'our per cent (4io) of the <br />total actual cost of all improvements made by this Council and under his control, <br />said sum to be paid at the same time as the estimates upon vrnich such compensation <br />is ba-aed. Compensation equal to one-and one-half percent (12%) oi tne total <br />estimated cost shall be paid for all plans, profiles and specifications upon
