TuHEREA89 the Council deems 3.t for the bes t interest of the Village to . provicle legal counsel #'or the same and for the officers thereof. NOW, THEREFOREp BE T2 ORDAINED by the Council of the Tlillage of Mayfield., Cuyahoga County, State of Ohio: - Section Zo T1?at the law firm of Sayrep Vail and Dorn be and it is hereby employed to act as legal counsel for said vi7lage and the officers thereof in their official capacity, and as such to prosecute or clefend aTl actions, by or against said Village, or any department or officer thereofs Section 2m That it shall prepa.re and submit to the Councii alZ resolutions and ordinances of yvhatsoever character or nature necessary, for aIl public improvements and for the issuance of bonds ancl every purpose autYiarzzed by Zav1, and that it shall prepare aIl other resolutions an.d ordinances as such are requested by tl7is Council or any department of this Iri7lage. Section 3. That it shall be appoin?ed for a period of two (2?years ending December 31st? 1939, an?`?shalZ receive as eompensation the sum of Four H.indred and Fifty Dollars ($450.00 y per annum9 payable in equal monthly installments, which compensation shal.I cover aLl general services rendered the said Village as such legal couiasel, provided, hoieever, that, said/Iegal counsel sha.ll be paid additional compensa.tion in the amount of One Hundred 6ollars for legal services rendered in conneetion with each improvement made by the Vi7lage and the preparation of.legislation in connection therewi.th, which additional compensation sha119 ir_ the case of a special a.ssessment improvement, be charged against the respective improvemsnt and shall be included as a part of & cost thereof, and provic3.ed, further that it shall receive the sum of Twenty-five o'LoJlars per diem f'or time spent in court, other than in L4ayores Courty in the litigation of Village matterso The compensation herein providecl.#'or, except that to be chaxged against a special assessment improvement., shall be payable out of the General Fund of sa?
