<br />Coun-ty and State of . Ohio, th.at: ,
<br />Section I. Whenever in this ordinance the term "the Company" is used,
<br />it shall be understood and intended to mean The East Uhio Gas.Company, its
<br />successors and assigns; a?.'?cl whenever the term «Vi]lage" is used' it sha1l be
<br />understood and intended to mean the Village.of Mayfield4 ahiQ, a municipal
<br />corporation, its successors and assigns.
<br />Secti-on 2. There is hereby granted to the Comgany the right to Ia.y,
<br />extend, maintain9 operate, repair, relocate, and remove mains and pipes., with
<br />the necessary feeders9 sexvice pipes, drips, and other devices convenient or.
<br />necessary to the operation o#' sucn mains and pipes, in, through, under, and from
<br />the dedicated streets, alleys, pubLc grounds, an.d public pla.ces of said Village,
<br />for the transportation of natu.ral gas in and through said Village.
<br />Section 3, Tn the work of laying, removing, changing, repairing,
<br />relocating, or renewing its mains ancl pipes and otlzer structures in,said Village,
<br />the Company shall not uruiecessarily obstruct or interfere vaith the ordinary use
<br />or occupation of any dedicated street, al-ley, public grou.izd or public place or
<br />sidewalks, nor inju.re. nor interfere wi-th nor change any arrangement. such as
<br />sewers or vrater mains, already laid or hereafter to be I.2id in said Villa.ge.
<br />The location and manner of la.ying the companyts mains and pipes in the dedicated
<br />streets, alZeys, pubLi.c grouizds, and gubla.c places in said Village shall be under
<br />the reasonable.di-rection of tlze municipal officers having eharge of said dedicated
<br />streets, alteys, public grouncls-and pubZi.c places in said Village.
<br />Section 4. The Corapany shall not make any openings in any dedicated
<br />street, rJithout first applying for and oUtaining a permit from-the municipal
<br />offiicer havi.ng in charge sueh matters. In cases of emergency, when time and
<br />circumstances wil1 not permit the making of application for permit prior to
<br />commencin.g any such ovening, application shall be made as soon thereafter as
