Dorn, Attorn.ey-at-Lavv be a.nd ne is hereby <br />employed to aet as legal covnsel 'for said Village ano the officers thereof in <br />thei-r official capacity, and as such to prosecizte.or defend all a.etions, by or <br />against said Village; or any department or officer thereof.' Section 2. That he sha.ll prepare and submit to the Conncil all resolutions <br />and ordirsances of whatsoever character or nature necessa.r-y, for all public <br />improvements and for the issuance of bonds and every purp ose authorized by law9 <br />and that he shall prepase all other resolutions and ordin,-;mces as such are <br />requested by this Council or any depa.rt;nEnt of this Village. <br />? Section 3. That he shall be. appointed ior a. peri.od of two (2) years. endi.ng <br />December 31Ft9 1943, and shall receive as compensation the sum of SIX u? <br />Dollars (t_<aooLoo ) per.a.rnwmy payable i.n eGU?.l monthly in- <br />stallmer_ts, vuhieh cornpensation shall cover all general servi:ces rendered the said <br />Village as. such legal counsel; provided, ho-uever; that saic7 legal counsel shall <br />Ue paid additional compensation in the amourit or One liundred Dollars ($100.00) for <br />legal serrices rendered iri connect-i on vvith each improvement ?nade by the'Villa.ge <br />and the preparation of legzslation in corrnection therevdith, which additional <br />coinperisation shall9 in the case of a special assessment improvement, be crarged <br />aga.inst the respective improvement anu shall be inclu.ded as a-part of the cost <br />thereoi, and provided, furtlzer tha.t he shall reeeive tY?e stim of Twenty-five. Dollars <br />($'125, 00) per diem for t? me s oent'in court, other than in PZayor ts Corirt, in the <br />litigation of Village.ma!uters. The compensation herein provided for, except that - <br />to be charged against a special assessmert impr.ovement, shall be payable out of the <br />General FUnd of s,aid. Uillage. Section.4o.
