Beard <br />AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING TIC DISCHARGE OF <br />FIREARS~bS W.tTHIN THE ~IILLAGE LINLLTS AND _ <br />REPEALING ORDINANCES BIOS ® 1~.a. .and 458 <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILT~AGE OF P4AYFIELD, CUYAHOGA. <br />COUNTY OHSO, ,THAT:. _ - _ - - - - <br />Sec. l® ~7hoever clischarges a firearm, or shoots, forces, or <br />throws by„means of a firearm, air-gun, or other arm or implement, a lead <br />iron or other hard substance, within the corporate limits of the pillage <br />of r~a.yfield shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof <br />shall be fined not less than X5.00 nor more than ~100~00. <br />Sec. 2. This Ordinance sha]1 not prohibit target shooting by <br />the owner ,of land and his guests having his written permission on a <br />range approved in writing ~ the Chief of Police of the pillage of <br />M~rfield, providing such target shooting is at all times conducted <br />under the direct supervision of the Chief of Police or by some person <br />designated by the Chief of Police. <br />Sec. 3. Ordinances Nos. 7~]. and 458 are hereby repealed as of <br />the effective .date of this ordinance, <br />.Sec. 1~. This Ordinance is. hereby declared to be an .emergency <br />measure, necessary for, the, immediate preservation of the public safety, <br />peace and health, because of. the danger to the public from huntirg and <br />discharge of firearms within the vi]lage limits, in vi:ewof its growing <br />popu].a,tien, and this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from <br />and after:. the date. of its passage. <br />Passed this17th day of October,_ 1955. <br />Attest <br />/~.2.~~.r~fi~a ~i~ ~~ ~~CsL <br />.
