CONSTRUCTION ~OF A ,~R MAIN .~VD_~PPURTEPTANCF~S.. . <br />THEREIN. ,. _ _.._ .__ - -- . - ---- ~ -~---- <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF MAYFICLD, CIIYAHOGA COUNTY, <br />OHIO, THAT ; ... .. _. .. - , J . _.... - ..- _ ... • . - - ~ . - <br />Sec. 1. That the assessment of the-cost and expense of improving <br />SOM Cente~d in the Village of Mayfield, Ohio, from the Northerly line <br />of Highland, ,Road . in a Norther].~r direction 2.00 feet in the Village of <br />I~7ayfield, Ohio, by the._construction of a water main and appurtenances <br />therein, amounting in the aggregate to ~21,78t~.81, as reported to this <br />Council on the 15th day of October, 1956, by Board heretofore appointed to <br />estimate said assessments, notice of the fil~x~g of which assessments has <br />been given as required by law, be s.i~d same is hereby adopted and confirmed, , <br />and that there be and there is hereby levied and assessed upon the lots and <br />lands bounding and abutting upon said, improvement the several amounts <br />reported. as aforesaid, which assessments together-Va~.th the descriptions of <br />said lots and lands are now on file in the office of the Cleric of this <br />Council, and which assessments are in proportion to the special benefits <br />and are not in excess of the special benefits to said property, and are <br />not in excess of any s tatutorylimitation. <br />Sec. 2. That the total assessment against each lot or parcel mf land <br />sha_ 11 be._payable in,,cash within thirty. (30) days- from and after the' passage <br />of this ordinance, or at:the•option of the..-:owner, in ten (l0) annual installments <br />with interest at the same rate as shall be borne on the bonds to be mssized in <br />anticipation of the collection of the same. All cash payments shall be made <br />to the treasurer of the Village of I~~ayfield. ,All assessments and installments <br />thereof remaining unpaid, at the expiration of said thirty (30) days shall be <br />certified by the Clerk_of the Council to the County Auditor, as provided by <br />7.aw,.to be by him_pla.ced on the tax duplicate and collected as other taxes are <br />collected. <br />Secb 3a That this ordinance being an emergency measure for the <br />immediate.preser3ration of the public peace, health. and safety of the inhabitants <br />of the Village of Mayfield, and shall take effect immediately upon its passage <br />and approval as an emergency measure, because of the necessity of providing funds as <br />soon as possible to pay the bonds- to be issued in connection with said improvement. <br />Attest: <br />Passed November 26, 1956. <br />....Mayor .- .resident -of . ouncil - - . .. . . <br />J <br />.. er <br />
