GRADIPdG : Contractor shall grade the street to the ?width sho~rm on cross section <br />including slopes and subgrade for 1?a.vement. fall o'ld pa.ve:nent, shale, rock, slag, <br />cinders, concrete or as~ohalt driver^rays included vtith the limits of construct~.on, <br />trees, stumps, sod, loam, old culvert ,rail;., sluices or <^n~r other olajertionable <br />materials encountered d~?.rind the proUress of ?~rorlc shall be removed from the road- <br />i~ra,,r area, including returns, to the ~F'ull depth of subgrade. Grading shall in- <br />clude formation of alJ_ s7.opes, embankments and filling as herein specified and <br />as shovan on said cross section. <br />(a) "!!~STE:_. The tem- <br />plate used in checlcinb cross section of the sul~orade sh^.11 conform to the <br />specified cross section of the road~rr~~y, shall be of clesi~;n and construction <br />satisfactory to the Engineer and must be operated b;r g~.zides to insure uniformity <br />of elevations. The area in i.ntersectioris shall be ~r<zded b;~~ stslcing into sec- <br />tions rot more than ten feet (10~) square and conforming; subgrade to such gov- <br />erning points. <br />(e) COST: The contract price per cu'oic yard of excavation ~::~.ust include all costs <br />for the removal and disposal of material of all yinds and the rollinb and shaping <br />of graded surfaces .
