nGtr SPECIFICA'~IONS STREET EXCAVAT~rON E'tC_1V AT ION The Contractor-shall grade .the street to the lines and grades sho~m by the Engineer's stakes, and all slopes and surfaces must conform vrith the cross- section shoti^m on the plan, The excavated material shall be placed in embankments 1°rithin the limits of this contract, as directed by the Engineer. Any excess excavated material shall be deposited upon low 1•and.s fronting on tl7e improvement, the of=rner's z^mitten consent having first been obtained by the Contractor, In the event filling sites adjacent to the improvement are not availa'ole, the Contractor shall dispose of excess excavated materials"at sites or. dumps provided at iris ovan expense.
