OR <br />BE It ORDAINED BY THE COUIvCIL OF THE VILTAGE OF MAYFIELD, CUYAHOGA COUNTY <br />OHIO, THAT; <br />Sec. 1. Section 3 of Ordinance No. 298, entitled; "An Ordinance <br />ComUining the Position of Building Inspector, Maintenance,Supervisor of <br />Sewer Pumps, Custodian of i.he Village 'da11, and School Guard, under the <br />iitle of Building Inspector & Service Director" shall hersafter read <br />as follows: . <br />" Sec. 3. Beginning with yiarch 1, 1960, the compensation of <br />the Building Inspector and Service Director sha].1 be at the rate <br />of $3260.00 per year, but may be changed from time to time by <br />Council by Ordinance or Resolution. An Assistant Building <br />Inspector and Service Director, whose duties shall be to assist <br />the Building Inspector and Service Direetor,- sha11 be appointed <br />by the Building Insgector and Service Director, subject to <br />conf irmation by vote of Council, and shall serve until removed <br />by the Building Inspector and Service Director, and shall, <br />beginning with the lst day of January,.1959, be conpensated <br />at the rate of $4,800.00 per year, but his compensation may <br />be changed.£rom time to time by the Council by Ordinance or <br />Resolution. The compensation of laborers employed to assist <br />the Building Inspector and Service Director snall be at the <br />rate of $1,.75 per hour. A11 building perniit fees shall be <br />paid into the Village Treasury. " <br />Sec. 2. Existing Section 3 of Ordinance ilo. 293, as amended by <br />Ordinances Nosd 534, 611, and 651, and existing Section 3(a) of Ordinance <br />iQo. 298, an3 existing Ordinances Nos.'557 and 611, together with any other <br />Ordinances inconsistent with this Ordinance, are hereby repealed as of <br />the date of the passage of this Ordinance. <br />Sec, 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure, <br />necessary f or.the isnmediate preservation of the public peace, healtn, <br />saf ety and weliare of the Village of i3ayfield and its inhabitants in order <br />to provide adequate compensation for the performance of the services of <br />the afotesaicl Building Inspector and Service Direetor, and this Ordinance <br />shall talce ef i ect and be in f orce from and af ter the date of its passage. <br />Passed this 19th day of February, 1960. <br />Attest: ? <br />?? <br />( gEL?I, Clerk <br />IvIayor - President of Council
