ROAD IlI. AN EASTERLY <br />DIR.ECTION TO THE WESTERLY ZINE OF,BEECH HII1Z ROAD <br />BY GRADING, DITCHING AND PAVING WITH ASPHALT1C <br />NlATERIAZS . <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCI-L OF THE VILZAGE OF MAYFIE-LD, CUYAHOGA <br />COUNTY 01II0: <br />Sec. l. That the assessment of the cost and expense of improving <br />Glenview Road from S.O.M. Center Road in an Easterly direction to the <br />Westerly line of Beech Hill Road, by grading, ditching and paving with <br />asphaltic materials, amounting in the aggregate to $12,007.09, as reported <br />to this Council on the 18th day of April, 1960, and.as reported to the <br />Clerlc on the 2nd day of April, 1960, by the Board heretof ore appoir.ted <br />to estimate said assessments, notice of the Filing of which assessments <br />has been given as required by law, be and the same is hereby adopted <br />and confirmed, and that there be and there is hereby levied and assessed <br />upon the lots and lands bounding and abutting upon both sides of Glenview <br />Road, from S.O.M. Center Road in an Easterly direction to the Westerly <br />line of Beech Hill Road, the several amounts reported as a=oresaid, tahich <br />assessments, together with the descriptions of said lots and lands, are <br />now on f ile in the off ice of the Clerk of this Council, and which assess- <br />ments are in proportion to the special benefits and are not in excess of <br />the special bene£its to said property, and are not in excess of any . <br />statutory limitation. <br />Sec, 2. That the total assessment against said lot or parcel <br />of land shall be,payable in cash within 30 days f rom and after the <br />passage of this ordinance, or a-t the option of the owner, in ten annual <br />installments, with interest at the same rate as shall be borne on the <br />bonds to be issued in anticipation of ttie collection of the same. All <br />cash paymeni:s shall be made to the Treasurer of the Village of P-layfield. <br />All assessments and installments thereof remaining unpaid at the <br />expiration of said 30 days shall be cert?f ied by the Clerk of the Council <br />to -the County Auditor, as provided by law, to be by him placed on che <br />ta:c duplicate and collected as other taxes are colLected. Sec. 3. That this ordinance, being an emergency measure for the <br />immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welf are <br />of the inhatitants o£ the Village of May=ield, shall take effect immediately
