(d) "Dwelling Unit" means a single family residence or a flat,
<br />Suite or apartment in a two-£amily residence or multiple-
<br />family residence building.
<br />(e) "Commercial Building" means any store, store-room, warehouse,
<br />orf ice, or office building, f illing and/or automobile service
<br />station, theatre, garage, auto wash, or bank, in which goods
<br />or services are sold, offered for sale, and/or services
<br />performed or amusements or entertainment for the public
<br />of f ered.
<br />(f) "Public Building" means any meeting place, lodge room, church,
<br />library, sehool,,dormitory, college, hospital, sanitarium,
<br />nursery, or other structure designed for use by 25 or more
<br />persons.
<br />Sec. 2o Each dcaelling unit, the construction of which is applied
<br />for on or after the effective date of this ordinance, shall prior to the
<br />occupation thereof be equipped with either a properly installed mechanical
<br />garbage disgoser, which conforms to the specif ications set forth in Section
<br />4 of this ordinance, or an incinerator, which conf orms to the specif ications
<br />set forth in Section 5 of this ordinance.
<br />Sec. 3o Every building, store rooffi, club, lodge, home, school,
<br />business establishment or place, other than a dwelling unit, the use of
<br />which results in the production of garUage, and the construction, remodeling
<br />or equipping of which is commenced on or after the effective date of this
<br />ordinance, shall prior to occupancy or use theraof be equipped with either
<br />a properly installed mechanical garbage disposer, which conforms to the
<br />specif ications set forth in Section 4 of this ordinance, or an incinerator,
<br />which conforms to the specif ications set forth in Section 5 of this ordinance.
<br />Sec. 4. Recuirements f or Mechanical Garbage DisPosers.
<br />(a) A Mechanieal Garbage Disposer shal.l not be installed or accepted
<br />unless it .meets all of the f olloiaing.minimum speciiicationsd
<br />(1) That it will operate with water flowing into the grinder
<br />and through the sink drain linea
<br />(2) That st will discharge wastes at a reasonably unif orm rate,
<br />in the fluid f orm which shall flow readily through an
<br />approved standard trap,deain line or foil line, of the
<br />, type and size required in the present dwelling house code
<br />of the 9illage of Mayf ield, and in a manner which will
<br />prevent clogging or stoppage of the drain line or sewerage
<br />' system.
