Ordinance No, 719 <br />By IVirs s Brown <br />AIQ GRDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE inAYOR AND THE CLERK <br />OF THE VILLAGE ON TYAYr IELD TO ENtER IIiTO A COATTRACT <br />WITH THE NORTHERN OHIO PAV'ING COIIPANY NOR BURrACE <br />TREATIIQG OF ROBZEY ZANE. <br />[,THEREAS, the Engineer of the Village of iiayf ield has obtained bids <br />for surface treating of Robley I,ane; and <br />tiJHEREAS, the bid of the Nori.hern Ohio Paving Company, a qualified <br />bidder, to perform said work f or the sum of Nine Hundred Eighty Tour pollars <br />($984.00) is determined by Council to be the lowest and best bid submitted. <br />NOlJ THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUrTCI-L OF THE VII,ZAGE OF MEiYFIELD <br />CUYAHOGA COUNTY OHIO, THAT: <br />aeca 1. All bids except that of the Northern Ohio Paving Company <br />' f or surf ace treating of Robley Zane are hereby rejected and the Clerk is <br />authorized and directed to return to all said bidders, except The Northern <br />Ohio Paving Company, any deposits which accompanied their bids. ' <br />Sec. 2d The iviayor and the Clerk of the Village of Mayfield, Ohio, <br />' are hereby authorized to enter into a contract on behalf of the Village <br />with -the Northern Ohio Paving Company for surface treating Robley Lane, <br />approximately 1700 linear f eet by 20 feet in width, with a-single seal coat <br />, using 3/10ths gallon ReC.-3 and 22 lbs. #6 slag or limestone chips per <br />square hard over entire road and applying second seal coat to corrugated <br />areas, approxinately 507o of road, for the lurnp sum price of $984.00, <br />according to the bid submitted by The tlorthern Ohio Paving Companye There <br />? is hereby appropriated;.from the Village Treasury the amount necessars= to <br />pay for the work specif ied in said contract. <br />Sec, 3. This ordinance is deemed to be an elnergency measure necessary <br />for the immediate Preservation of t21e public peace, health, safetp and welfare <br />of the Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants, because of the necessity of <br />repairing said highway before the cold weather sezs in, and this ordinance <br />I shall take efiect and be in f orce from and after the date of its passage as <br />an emergency measuree <br />lassed this 17th day of October, 1960. <br />' ????%?`??? ? _ ?2LG??i°v'? <br />' Attests <br />?
