B r oion <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING iHE ZIAYOR Ai.?VD THE Ci,ERK <br />Or THE VILZAGE OF NSAYFIEZD TO ENTER INTO A CUNTI2ACT <br />WITIi THE NORTHERN OHIO 1 AVING Ca1PANY FOR SURFACE <br />TREATING OF RAVINE DRIVE. <br />G+IHERFAS, the Engineer of the Village of biayfield has obtained bids <br />for surLace treating of Ravine Drive; and <br />WHEREAS, the bid of the Northern Ol:io Paving Cormpany, a qualified <br />bidder, to perform said worlc for the sum of Six Hundred Fifty Dollars <br />($650.00) is deter.mined by Council to be the lowest and best bid submitted. <br />NOTJ THEREFORE BE IT GRDAINED BY THF COUNCIL OF THE PIZLAGE OF <br />MAYFIE-LD, CUYAHOGA COUNTY OHIO, THATe <br />Sece l. t111 bids except that of The Northern Ohio Paving Company <br />for surC-ace treating of Ravine Drive are hereby rejected and the Clerk is <br />authorized and directed to return to all said bidders, except The Northern <br />Ohio Paving Company, any deposits which accompanied their bidse <br />Sec. 2. The Mayor and the Clerlc o= the Village of Mayfield, Ohio, <br />are hereby authorized to enter into a contract on behalf of the village <br />with the Northern Ohio Paving Company for surf ace treating Ravine Drive, <br />approximately 800 linear feet by 20 feet in width, with double seal coat <br />along entire road, using 3/10ths gallon R.C.-3 and 22 lbs ;#6 slag or <br />limestone chips per square yard over entire road, for the lump sum price <br />of $650.00, according to the bid suUm.itted by The Northern Ohio Paving <br />Company. '1"here is hereby appropriated f rom the Village ^lreasury the <br />amount necessary to pay for the worlc specified in said contracta <br />Sec,?3. This ordinance is deemed to be an emergency measare <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, <br />safety and welfare of the Village of Nlayfield and its inhabitants, because <br />of the necessity of repairing said highway before the cold weather sets in, <br />and this ordinance shall take effect and be in f orce from and after the <br />date of its passage as an emergency measure. <br />Passed this 17th day of October, 1960. <br />At•cest: ??l?L <br />riayor - President of Council <br />*SUL) rk
