Ordinance No~4 755 <br />By Mrs Belzer <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 3 OF ORDINANCE No$ 583, <br />AS AMENDED, BY INCRE_9.SING THE COMPENSATION OF MEMBERS <br />OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD, CUYAHOGA COUNTY <br />OHIO THAT2 <br />SecQ lā€ž Section 3 of Ordinance No. 583, entitled; "An Ordinance to <br />Provide for the Tenure and Compensation of Members of the Police Department, <br />to add the Position of Sergeant of Police and to Repeal Ordinance..Noa 479, <br />as Amended by Ordinance No.. 548", as amended by Ordinances Nos, 710 and 730-A, <br />is hereby amended to read, as followsa <br />t'Sec~ 3, Compensation and Allowance for Uniforms., The following <br />compensation shall be paid beginning as of February 1, 1962, but may <br />be changed by Council, by Ordinance or Resolution: <br />Marshall or Chief of Police <br />Sergeant of Police <br />$6600ā€ž00 per year <br />$5800k00 per year <br />Regular Policeman, at the rate of $4800.00 per year <br />for a six month probationery period,. <br />thereafter at the rate of $5000400 per year for 6 <br />months <br />and then at the rate of <br />$5250,:00 per year <br />In addition, the Marshall or Chief of Police, the Sergeant of <br />Police, and any Regular Policeman shall be paid at the rate of <br />$1.,85 for each hour spent by him in operating or assisting in <br />the operation of radar equipment on the public highways in the <br />Village of Mayfield after his regular work shift or of ter his <br />regular working hoursF <br />Special Policemen <br />$1085 per each hour <br />during which he serves on such an assignment by the Mayor or Chief <br />of Polices The total number of hours to be served by all Special <br />_Policemen during any one week shall not exceed 64, but Council <br />may change the maximum number of hours at any time by Ordinance <br />or Resolutions Provided, however, that the Mayor at his discretion <br />may authorize the employment of Special Policemen in excess of 64 <br />hours a week and the employment of regular Policemen after their <br />regular working hours, at the rate of $1,85 per hour, for the <br />purpose of serving summons and notices upon and arresting persons <br />within and outside of the Village of Mayf field who have failed to <br />
