Ordinance No. 762 <br />By Mr. Belzer <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF QUIGhEY DISPOSAL, <br />INC. FOR GARBAGE AND RUBBISH.PICK-UP.AND DISPOSAL <br />WHEREAS, the Clerk has advertised, according to law,for bids for <br />garbage and_rubbish pick-up and disposal; and <br />WHEREAS, Quigley Disposal, Tnc., a responsible bidder, duly filed <br />with the Clerk the lowest and best bid. <br />NOG1 THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF <br />HAYFIELD, CUYAI~IOGA COUNTY OHIO, THAT: .. <br />Sec. 1. The bid of Quigley Disposal, Inc. for garbage and rubbish <br />pick-up and disposal is hereby accepted. <br />Sec. 2. The Mayor and the Clerk are hereby authorized to enter <br />into an agreement, on behalf of the Village of Mayf field with Quigley <br />Disposal, Inc., incorporating the terms of its bid, with provision, among . <br />other things, for the pick-up of all garbage, rubbish and other waste from <br />all places of residence and business in the Village of Mayf field for a period <br />of two years, beginning March 1st, 1962, and hauling it to the disposal site <br />maintained by Quigley Disposal, Inc. in Lake County Ohio, at a price of <br />$425.00 per month , for the first twelve months of the agreement. Said <br />agreement shall further provide that, if at the end of the first twelve <br />months there is an increase of fifty or more houses in the Village re4uiring <br />further garbage and rubbish collection, the Village will pay to Quigley <br />Disposal, Inc. during the second twelve months of the agreement a reasonable <br />monthly price to be agreed upon by the parties so as to reflect the increased <br />cost of services rendered due to the additional number of places to be <br />serviced. Said agreement shall incorporate all other provisions of the bid <br />and the General Specifications on file with the Clerk in connection therewith. <br />Sec. 3. This ordinance is hereby determined to be an emergency <br />measure, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public health, <br />peace and welfare of the Village of Mayffield and its inhabitants, so that <br />garbage, rubbish and other waste material, constituting a menace to health, <br />may be disposed of without any interruption caused by the failure to have <br />an agreement with a person competent to perform such necessary services, and <br />said ordinance shall be in force and effect on and after the date of its passage. <br />Passed this 19th day of February, 1962. <br />Gfi ~ r <br />Attest: <br />'~ Mayor - President of Council <br />SE <br />
