Ordinance No. 765 <br />By Mr. Sloan <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTTON 3 OF ORDINANCE 298, <br />AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCES NOS> 697, 731 AND 756, BY <br />PROVIDING OVERTIME COMPENSATION FOR THE ASSISTANT <br />BUILDING INSPECTOR AND SERVICE DIRECTOR <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, <br />OHIO, THAT: <br />Sec. 1. Section 3 of Ordinance No. 298, entitled; "An Ordinance <br />Combining the Position of Building Inspector, Maintenance Supervisor of <br />Sewer Pumps, Custodian of the Village Hall, and School Guard, under the <br />Title of Building Inspector and Service Director" , as amended by <br />Ordinances Nos. 697, 731 and 756, is hereby amended to read as follows; <br />"Sec. 3. Beginning with February 1, 1962, the compensation of <br />the Building Inspector & Service Director' shall be at the rate of <br />$4,400.00 per year, but-may be changed from time to time by Council <br />by ordinance or resolution. And Assistant Building Inspector and ,,, <br />Service Director, whose duties shall be to assist the Building <br />Inspector and Service Director, shall be appointed by the Building <br />Inspector and Service Director, subject to-confirmation by. vote of <br />Council, and shall serve until removed by the Building Inspector <br />and Service Director, and shall, beginning with~March 1st, 1961, <br />,. ,, be' compensated at the rate of $5,000.00 per year, -but his compen- <br />sation may be changed from time to time by Council, by ordinance <br />or by resolution. The Assistant Building Inspector & Service <br />Director shall also be paid the sum of $1.85 for each hour worked <br />in excess of 44 hours in any one week. .The ecmpensation of laborers <br />and other employees to assist the Building Inspector & Service <br />Director shall be at the rate of $1.85 per hour. A11 building <br />permit fees shall be paid into Village Treasury." <br />S'ec° 2. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure, <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety <br />and welfare of the Village of Mayf field and its inhabitants in order to <br />provide adequate compensation in order to obtain and retain the services <br />of the aforesaid members of the Service Department, and this Ordinance shall <br />take effect and be in force from and after the date of its passage. <br />Passed this 19th day of March, 1962. <br />Attest ° ~ . ~ L~~~i+`~~ <br />° ° May or - President of Council <br />(SEAL) C1e k <br />
