ORDINANCE No. 778 By Mr. Sloan AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CLERK OF THE VILIAGE OF M~lYFIELD T0. ENTER INTO .A CONTRACT WITH THE NORTHERN QHIQ,PAVING•C~ANY FOR PATCHING AND, SURFACE TREATING-OF THORNAPPLE DRIyE - - _ WHBRT.A,S, the Engineer of the Village of Mayfield has obtained bids for surface treating and patching of Thornapple Drive; and WHEREAS, the bid of the Northern Ohio Paving Company, a qualif ied bidder, to perform said work for the sum of $800.00 is determined by Council to be the lowest and best bid submitted. • NOW THEREFORE EE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILT~AGE OF HAYFIELD, CUYAHOGA COUNTY _ OHI O , - THAT s _ .. • • .. . - . _ _ _ -.. . _ - ... -. _ .. _ _ Sec. ~ 1, All bids except. that of the Northern Ohio Paving Company for patching and surface treating of Thornapple Drive are hereby rejected. Sec. 2. The Mayor and the Clerk of the Village of I~Iayf field are hereby authorized to enter into a contract on behalf ,of the Village with the Northern Ohio Paving,'Company for patching and surface treating of Thornapple Drive, with a single treatment, using RC-3 liquid asphalt and 6 lb. stone, for the sum of $800.00, according to the bid submitted by the Northern Ohio Paving Company. Tktere is hereby appropriated from the ®illage Treasury the amount necessary-for the work specif ied in said contract. Sec. 3. This ordinance is deemed to be an emergency measure, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace,, health, safety` and welfare of the Village of Magf field and its inhabitants, because of the necessity of repairing said highway before the cold weather sets ia,' and this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and. after the date of its passage as an emergency measure.
